Mike owns the TechCrunch Network of blog and podcasting sites. He is also a founder and on the board of directors of Edgeio.
After a degree in Economics and then Harvard Law School, Mike spent a few years as a corporate attorney at O'Melveny & Myers and Wilson Sonsini, working exclusively with technology companies. He left in 1999 to join a startup and run sales and business development. Leaving as the company went through its IPO, he went on to found Achex (now the backend infrastructure for Western Union), work in an operational role at a Carlyle-backed startup in London, launch two companies in Canada (Zip.ca and Pool.com), was COO to a Kleiner-backed company called Razorgator, and consulted to other companies, including SnapNames and Verisign. TechCrunch was launched in June 2005.
