Fred Wilson on 10 Ways to Be Your Own Boss
I am really enjoying the videos from the recent 99% conference in New York, including the one by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.
In this video Fred Wilson talks about ten ways to be your own boss. Fred’s a New York based VC and has invested in numerous game-changing tech companies, including Twitter, del.icio.us, Etsy, and FeedBurner. He also runs a very active and influential blog at AVC.

So many businesses simply “happen”. This is a great presentation that brings to light the idea of actually planning your business and its growth (something that seems to be the exception rather than the rule).

This was an excellent talk. Wilson did neglect to mention DubLi, however.

I like this video, basic salary is the obstacle that stops many people being a real entrepreneur, stepping out of comfort zone doesn’t bring comfort at beginning but definitely will bring something we cannot imagine from a J.O.B. Nowadays internet gives so many chances for people to start business and make a profit, grab it and be your own boss, no fear.

This is a great inspirational talk for people who would like to go into a business but for some reason are held back. There are a lot of options that don’t need big capitalization.

Shame Vimeo doesn’t have transcriptions / Closed Captions! I’m sure it’s great, of course…
