Naming is something that I think everyone struggles with, and I think it's getting more challenging due to the global nature of the web and the dwindling availability of good domain names... It took me quite a while to decide if I wanted to use my personal name for my web design business, or come up with a business name that was completely separate. In my case, the decision was partially made for me, due to domain availability, and I eventually settled on something that referenced my name in part but also stood on its own as well. It's great because it's me and it's pretty self explanatory. No one else has this name so that's good. The thing is it just doesn't stand out. Carsonified is great, I heard the name and wanted to see what it was. I've been thinking about changing the name of my blog site so something totally off topic, even a misspelled word, something that'll stick with people or pique their curiosity.
