I think designing user-centric websites is extremely important and something not enough designers are taking advantage. It does take more work and a lot more thought but overall it provides users with such a better experience. I do a lot of work as a Chicago freelance web designer and I have found that I achieve much better results when putting a lot of focus in user centric design. Great article, thank you!

Great insight, just noticed this article. Personally I have decided to use OpenID for my personal project before hand. Now after reading this article I see that it is much easier to get users past that registration hurdle. Great read and alot of good resources. Thanks for this write-up.
