Media Queries, CSS Backgrounds and Vendor Prefixes

By Keir Whitaker

Here are three recent CSS related articles that deal with some of the more advanced parts of CSS3 and the debate about vendor prefixes, think -moz-border-radius and -webkit-animation.

If you have any examples of where you have used these techniques on live sites feel free to link them up in the comments.

  1. Supersize that Background, Please! – A great introduction to dealing with background images in CSS3. In conjunction with media queries they look to be very powerful.
  2. Bulletproof CSS3 media queries – A great and not too lengthy look at how to create media queries for different devices. Includes downloadable code.
  3. Prefix or Posthack – Eric Meyer recounts the history of the box model hack and argues that vendor prefixes are a good thing, do you agree?
