Topics and schedule

Session Length Topics
1st Session 1 hour In Search of the Perfect Layout
Molly Holzschlag
As many designers are aware, CSS3 offers a wide range of powerful tools for enhancing Web sites. All the things you longed for - rounded corners, multiple backgrounds, real fonts and more intuitive color are all within our reach. But what about solutions to laying out our designs? Currently, all we really have to work with outside of tables are floats and positioning and sheer cleverness! In this session, Molly will discuss the challenge of CSS layout, why the issue persists, and discuss existing and proposed layout methods coming our way.
2nd Session 1 hour Typography in CSS3: @font-face, font embedding, licensing fonts and columns
Matthew Smith & Sean Gaffney
Utilising the @font-face construct for font embedding along with practical solutions where licensed fonts are concerned. Also covering the splitting of a single element's content into multiple columns.
3rd Session 15 minutes TechSmith

In this quick session, you'll learn how to use tools like Snagit, Jing, Camtasia and Camtasia Mac to give you the competitive edge over other designers.
