John Hornbaker is the Director for Innovation Acceleration at Parthenon Computing. He has a keen interest in innovation and product development in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments which is backed up by his experience leading teams to deliver products to market since 1990.
In all his roles, John has consistently focused on the customer and the need to be responsive to the market, frequently working with limited resources. As an independent technology consultant in the United States, he worked to develop product concepts, prototypes, and strategies for early stage start-ups.
As Director of Product Development at VoteHere, he shaped product strategy and delivered several distinct e-voting products to market, including one based on an innovative, next generation cryptographic voting protocol. Prior to this, John worked at Footprints, a bespoke software development consultancy, and as an independent software developer for 10 years. In that time, he successfully rolled out more than 25 software applications to all manner of businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, on Macintosh and Windows computers.
When he's not working, John can frequently be found climbing mountains, travelling, or dabbling in photography and writing.
