    Hi Gill,

Is there supposed to be audio or somthing with this?

Slides on their own have very little detail and some even lack context.

Im sure its valuable insight but as it stands (unless im missing somthing) its not essential reading.

    Cheers

Yeah, those slides just by themselves are not particularly helpful. I can sort of infer what he might be discussing under most of them, but it’s lacking any sort of useful details or reasons why those statements might be true.

An article based on this content would be far more helpful. :-)

    Hey Jacob and Warren,

Sorry about that. Here is the audio that goes with the presentation.

    Cheers,

    Hey Ryan,
Nice presentation. When was this recorded?
Also what happened to Amigo? I just went to check it out and saw that it was closed. I don’t remember you posting about that.

I’d like to know about Amigo too!

I liked following the build on barenakedapp and would love to know why this was not a successful web app (and any lessons learned).

    All the best.

I guess they’ll say that Amigo was closed so they could focus on the more profitable / exciting areas of the business, such as the conferences / tuition days, and that’s a very good reason business-wise. More realistically, though, it was an entry into a dying / shady market, and one that people are hesitant to be associated with (I buy advertising, but I wouldn’t buy it in any form that involves e-mail because some people are psychopathic about spam, even when the mail isn’t spam, and defending yourself against providers who’ve received complaints is quite tough nowadays.)

Going to enjoy this presentation next though. Carsonified excel at these sorts of presentations and explanations.
