Dare I say it the second picture looks like Dan has been locked in a water tank, and those pipes are slowly filling him up!

No wonder why he’s trying to say nice things, he doesn’t want to be drowned to death!

You know I expected this from the Boag clan… but Ryan, I thought you were above these kind of tactics.

So clearly the app is some kind of geek homicide device, luckily for Dan, the water only seems to be dribbbbbbbbling at the moment (*boom boom*)… do I win a prize?

Looks awesome, really excited to see what it is and what it offers us. Looking forward to hearing about it at FOWD, but let’s hope it’s now like dribbble in a sense that it was promoted at FOWD then not publicly visible for almost a year :P

    Keep up the great work

“but let’s hope it’s now” should be “but lets hope it’s not like dribbble”. Sorry for typo.

My bet: it’s got something to do with user testing (or perhaps just testing). I could be completely wrong though.

Looking forward to finding out what it is next monday!

    Definitely nothing like Dribbble :)

Wild guess: looks like a feedback or usability app where designers can get to know what is wrong with their designs?

If you told me it was an easy to use, beautifully designed online conferencing app, I’d be very excited. I would also be excited if it was an app for choosing different types of jewellery, as I am getting married next year. Free looks good. Although 24 hour limit may be a problem.

Can’t tell what it is by the sneak peek, but it looks awesome.
I love you keep generating new & fresh designs every time.

Can’t wait to see what Mike came up with this time.

  • http://carsonified.com Ryan Carson

Nice guess, but that’s not it :)

Looks like a television repair service ;)

Is it a new version of PacMan where our famed hero crawls through small pipes gulping blobs of water in his attempts to avoid the evil, pipe-stretching Conceptual Icons of Doom (CIDs)?

If so, I’m totally prepared to pay $99/month as long as my PacMan is totally invincible… and my score doesn’t max out at 999,999

    :)

Okay, last guess: an audio/video library on design or web apps? Free 24 hours membership will make a lot of sense in such case.

I hope it’s some sort of sticker album.

I’d say it’s an app where both developers and designers share their current project within a team. Seems to me like it’s a way to ease the process of requirements for a project (website, webapp or else).

The workflow would be something like this :

Designer uploads a psd or a fully functional front-end and details how everything should work and what are the expected UX/effects.
He then includes every kind of files needed for the developer to begin working, assets and everything,

Developer retrieves the project and gets a quick recap of what there is to know for that particular project and can begin working instantly without bugging the designer for any questions that should be already understood by the developer.

Hey Iain – Nice guess. You’ll see :) BTW, what is that thing that’s pointed toward your head in your gravatar. Always wondered!

just a guess…looks like an email campaign software. the water drips graphic could stand for “drip campaigns”? whatever it may be… it will be quality if its coming from your labs. good luck!

  • Ryan Carson

    Damn, you guessed it! :)

Snippets are getting me all excited! Could it be some kind of usability testing app, it definitely looks like it is visually very pleasing :)

  • Ryan Carson

    Awesome idea, but no :)

Some tutorial videos online, “check your design against are incredible and definitely state of the art no flash needed html5 useful tool”… like….ooo, I give up…

For 50 bucks a month it better do my laundry and cut the grass.

Hey, I’m close aren’t I? Recently poked my nose around Webex and Dimdim and thought, hmm, you know what we all need…

And as for the avatar, it’s a big pencil to indicate my extreme writerlyness (definitely not a word) and is much clearer on larger images!

Strangely enough, just a couple of days ago someone asked me if it was a gun. I was suitably horrified. So it definitely needs to change!

I think i know but i’m keeping silent, good luck Ryan. knowing you it’ll be utterly awesome, see you next week ;-)

  • http://carsonified.com Ryan Carson

    Interesting guess!

  • http://carsonified.com Ryan Carson

Cheers John – thanks for the kind words!

It would be soooo worth $99. Count me in!
