Sneak Preview of new Carsonified Site and a Treasure Hunt

By @ryancarson

06 July 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

We're launching the brand new Carsonified.com site this Thursday (July 9th) so we thought we'd give you a sneak peek at one of the major images for the site.

This is an image that’s going on the homepage of the new site. It’s a sketch by Mike, which is one of many that will be on the new site. Points goes to the first person that can figure out why we’re using heart imagery.

Treasure Hunt baby!

To celebrate, we thought we’d organize a crazy treasure hunt. The treasure is an all expenses paid trip to any Carsonified event, so the hunt isn’t going to be easy :)

Here’s some more info for you:

WHEN: We’ll release the first clue Thursday on this blog

HOW: As you find each clue, you will be lead to another clue. You’ll need a bit of dedication and good ol’ fashion detective work to figure it out. Should be fun :)

PRIZE: An all expense paid trip to one of our events (FOWA London, FOWD Tour, FOWD NYC or Stack Overflow Dev Days).

It’s a race so the first person to find the treasure will win the trip. Be ready and keep your eyes peeled on Thursday :)

Perhaps the heart will illustrate the differentation that future built brands will have to utilize. What clients should really care about is the brands ability to encompass loyalty beyond reasonable doubt, and its ability to create and promote growth. A symbol of love and purpose for a brand. And just maybe fulfilling this duty is where Carsonified wishes to encompass their journey, and help brands status to tell their very own story, to something consumers truly care about.

Because you hope you’ll never need a pacemaker or a bypass and because ventricle rhymes with tentacle and you don’t have any, only arms which is a good thing, but you all love calamari so the imagery works for you because you couldn’t have used an image of a squid, too boring and squids don’t need bypasses. Am I right?

I suspect the internet is a living breathing thing. Like the body. I expect to see statements such as the blood flowing is data, arteries/blood vessels/cables can become clogged and disrupt the data flow. Is google the brain? – it does all the searching – is that putting too much hi status on google. What feeds the web? is food = content/data. what are the other organs in the body?

ooo ooo ooo! Is the heart = users? Users pump data around the internet, using apps such as twitter and facebook. Also blogging and adding content continues to pump this data around.

Without users/the heart = the web will die.
    You must feed the web…

In addition to being the center where new life-giving, oxygenated blood is pushed throughout the system, it is receptical of oxygen-depleted blood where it then (with the cooperation of the lungs) re-invigorated with fresh and useful blood.
This may be a picture of what carsonified wants to do – put out to the “web world” fresh new ideas that will strengthen the entire system while at the same time taking some of the “life-less, used ideas and invigorating them to make them useful.

I think the heart has something to do with information architecture or sitemaps. A bit far fetched, but way cooler than using a tree.

I’m afraid we got so busy with the launch, we didn’t have time to launch it. We’ll set it live soon – probably next week. I’m so sorry!
