You can also limit the number of post-revisions by adding a single line to your wp-config file:

define(‘WP_POST_REVISIONS’, 6);

I’ve found myself doing this more and more often as I’ve never had the need to do more than go back one or two revisions (and that’s only happened once or twice) and not limiting the number of revisions does increase the size of your database an awful lot.
